The rental contract

The moment of truth: you are presented with a rental contract. Before you sign, you must know exactly what is in it AND what MUST NOT be in it. A signature is binding — take the time to read and understand everything.

What must be included?

• Name and address details of tenant and landlord
• Address and description of the property (incl. surface area)
• Start date and (for temporary contracts) end date
